Award Description:

To develop research projects characterizing and exploiting the cancer epigenome and epitrascriptome. A major goal of this funding is to engage talented cancer and microbiome researchers who are not currently studying the role of the epigenetics and epitranscriptomics in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment, as well as to encourage new ideas from faculty already involved in research in this area

Information And Eligibilty Criteria:

 Eligibility:

 All levels of full time faculty (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor) in the BSD, PME, and PSD at the University of Chicago are eligible to serve as principal investigator (PI)
PIs must be Cancer Center members, and Associate Members must submit a short LOI for approval in advance of submission
One one submission is allowed per PI, and faculty can serve as co-PI or collaborator on a maximum of two applications
Research Associates, Postdoctoral Fellows and Clinical Fellows are not eligible
