We have a total of $500,000 in pilot award funds to distribute through this mechanism, and will consider budgets up to $200,000 per grant, from the following categories:

a)            Clinical (e.g., clinical trial, supportive care, imaging) or population research (e.g., epidemiology; disparities; survivorship/outcomes; cancer risk; economics)

b)            Translational (e.g., correlative; use of biobank samples; should include basic science with VERY clear translational potential).

 The application deadline is December 7, 2018 .

The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCCCC) is pleased to announce a second round of funding for mesothelioma research supported through a generous gift to Hedy Kindler, MD from UCMC Trustee John D. Cooney and his partners at Cooney & Conway.  

 University of Chicago faculty member and if PI is not a Cancer Center member, he/she must have a Cancer Center member as an active collaborator.
