The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center (UCCCC) is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for junior investigators with previously submitted, peer-reviewed, but unfunded research proposals. This opportunity is made possible through funds from a philanthropic foundation’s gift to the UCCCC. 

• PI must be a Cancer Center member; limited to one application per PI;
• Junior faculty: up to and including the rank of assistant professor, with no current or previous peer-reviewed funding (e.g., NIH, DOD, national ACS);
• Junior faculty who have received K-level “career development” funding from national granting agencies ARE eligible;
• Proposal previously submitted to, and scored by, a peer-reviewed agency (e.g., NCI, NIH, DOD, ACS), but not funded;
